• Event planners often work long hours in the period prior to and during a meeting, convention or other type of event, and extensive travel may be required.


• Employment of event planners is expected to grow faster than average.


• Event Planners must be detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and be able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Wedding Planners are one type of event planner.  Also known as bridal consultants, the wedding planner helps the bride and groom plan every detail of the wedding, from the location, to the dress and flowers, invitations, food, drinks, photography, and even the honeymoon. Wedding planners also provide important information regarding who sits where, and answer other questions of etiquette and diplomacy.
